Leah Kesselman, PsyD
Dr. Leah Kesselman (PsyD) is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in providing evidence-based assessment and treatment for children, adolescents and families. Through an action oriented-approach, she partners with caregivers to better understand and address the social and emotional needs of children struggling with learning, anxiety, behavioral, executive functioning and attention challenges. She believes in understanding the “whole child” to tailor interventions to best address the reasons they are in treatment. Dr. Kesselman has trained and worked in schools, community mental health centers, and in hospital NICU and primary care pediatric departments. With expertise in infant mental health and child development, Dr. Kesselman is certified in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT, for children 2-7 years old) and Parent Child Interaction Therapy for Toddlers (PCIT-T). These interventions focus on teaching parents the skills to improve their child's emotional and behavioral functioning, reduce problematic behaviors, enhance their child's language, encourage young children to follow directions, and improve the parent-child relationship. Dr. Kesselman has additionally completed specialized training in maternal mental health, and enjoys supporting caregivers in their parenting journey.
